1998 Silver Proof PIEDFORT 50p - NHS 50th Anniversary

This SILVER Proof edition 50p celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the National Health Service.  The coins reverse features a superb frosted design incorporating a caring pair of hands with radiating lines, which stands out beautifully on the mirror background. 

Encapsulated and housed in an original Royal Mint box with the Certificate of Authenticity, this is very limited edition coin from the Royal Mint, and being a PIEDFORT is much thicker than the standard edition Silver Proof Coin.   

The coin has a weight of 16.00 grammes, measures 27.30 millimetres in diameter and has been struck in sterling .925 silver to exacting Proof quality.  Only 10,000 pieces are available for worldwide distribution.
