1996 £10 Note and Silver Proof £5 Set - QE II 70th

This special set was issued jointly by the Bank of England and the Royal Mint to celebrate the 70th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The set contains a Specimen £10 Note with a special Cypher of HM70 and a serial number of between 1 and 2000 in honour of Her Majesty’s 70th birthday, and a Silver Proof £5 Crown Struck also in celebration of HM 70th.

The set is housed in a deluxe velvet lined box with a full colour information booklet / Certificate of Authenticity. Both items are also encapsulated to keep their proof quality.

Only 2000 of these sets were issued so you will not see them on offer too often.
