2004 Silver Proof PIEDFORT £2 – Locomotive

The 2004 Silver Proof PIEDFORT £2 is struck in a combination of Silver with 22 carat yellow gold plated outer edge, and a Silver inner circle. The obverse of has a magnificent portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadly, FRBS.

The reverse, engraved by Robert Lowe, features a depiction of the Penydaren Locomotive encircled by a cog, which is a representation of the Industrial Revolution.
