George III (1760-1820) 1819 CROWN
On offer is a Silver Crown from the reign of George III.
A harder to find silver Crown of King George III dated 1819. Even thoughGeorge III reigned for sixty years, Crowns were only issued during his final three years of his reign. When the Crown was finally produced in 1818, it was the first time one had been made since 1751. George III Crown coins were only struck for three years: 1818, 1819 and 1820.
Obverse - George III Laurel Head.
Reverse - St George and Dragon with garter, edge inscribed.
