2014 1oz Silver Proof - ROCK FISHING

Rock fishing involves fishing straight into the sea from a rocky outcrop or platform, submerged rocks, rock faces and rocks that emerge from the water’s edge.

Each coin is meticulously struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in superb proof quality.

The reverse of the coin depicts a fisherman reeling in his catch from a rock platform in colour, framed within the shape of Australia. The inscriptions THE LAND DOWN UNDER and ROCK FISHING also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date, and the monetary denomination on the obverse.

No more than 5,000 of The Land Down Under – Rock Fishing 2014 1oz Silver Proof Coin will be released by The Perth Mint.

The coin is housed in a unique, contemporary, Australia map-shaped latex case which displays both sides of the coin. The case is packaged within a beautifully illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
